About the Journal

IRMEA is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes high-quality research in management, economics, entrepreneurship, and accounting, with a particular emphasis on emerging markets and developing economies. The journal provides a scholarly platform for rigorous, relevant, and timely work that deepens understanding of how organisations, markets, and institutions respond to opportunities and challenges in dynamic contexts.

IRMEA welcomes empirical (quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods), conceptual, and review articles that advance theory, inform managerial practice, and support evidence-based public policy. Contributions may address, among others, topics related to strategic management, innovation and entrepreneurship, financial and management accounting, governance and ethics, sustainable and inclusive development, MSMEs, and the digital transformation of business and economic systems.

The journal is published three times a year (April, August, and December) and operates a double-blind peer review process to ensure the academic quality and integrity of all published work. IRMEA applies no submission or article processing charges (APC) and all articles are made freely available online under an open-access policy, enabling broad dissemination and impact for authors, readers, and stakeholders worldwide.

Through this combination of strong scholarly standards, open access, and a clear focus on emerging and developing economies, IRMEA strives to become a trusted reference for researchers, practitioners, and policy makers committed to sustainable business and economic development.
